BX/SBX Type Metal Ring Gasket

The metal ring pad is made of metal materlal by forging and heat treatment and machining into cross section shape is the entily of BX type metal gasket,have radial since the tight sealing efect, is a kind of specal metal octaganal ring gasket. its action principle is cushion for leaning on and flange type ladde groove (mainly the lateral) out of contact,and through the pressure sealing function to form.
The BX ring gasket differs from the standard oval or octagonal shape since it is square in cross section and tapers in each comer, All BX ring type joints inencorporale a prossure passage hole to allow for pressure equalization each side of the sealing faces ,On assembly, metal to contact of the flange faces is achieved. They can only be used in API 68X flanges. BX is used at pressures up to 20,000 psi.
